It would be irresponsible of me to explain why the phrase "we have misplaced the family lunchbox", which is currently an actual thing that has happened around here, keeps making me think of Lynford Cicero Christie, "the most decorated British male athlete".

That is entirely legitimate tetchy; I only knew of the whole story as something that was in the cultural water and which I looked up at some point, so there are clearly things I've missed.

I sort of had the impression that at the end of the day he'd come out somewhat ahead of the jerks.
