A truly disgusting plan for a mass movement

Santorum: The Idea Of A Separation Of Church And State Makes Me Want To Vomit.

Ladies, Gentlemen and Others, I suggest you check his schedule and prepare and deploy your nausea-inducing signs, tshirts, and bumper stickers.

The president swears to defend the constitution. I perceive a conflict.

Well, technically the phrase "separation of church and state" is not in the Constitution; all that document (and its Bill of Rights) offers is that there be no religious test for those who hold office, and that Congress legislate neither the establishment nor the prevention of religion.

Which does boil down to 'the separation of major Federal legal interference (positive or negative) and religion', but leaves a certain amount of openness around the edges. (It's where slimy things like Santorum like to creep in.)
