Please use this thread to tell me what kind of look you're thinking of, tell me about specific tricks you want to learn, tell me of anything on your schedule that you need me to work around, and let me know if you have, maybe, a room which we could maybe use, as my roomates may not, it occurs to me belatedly, be totally thrilled to have the bathroom invaded like this.

Yaaaay! Oh my goodness, so excited!

First things first: I'm probably going to be wearing a full-length silver sequin & lace gown to the dance party, so I would love something to go with that. Glittery, big black eyelashes/eyeliner, pref more subtle/pale on the lips so the eyes really pop. Also I have long, mermaid-y green hair. Is that enough or should I give it more thought? :)

And second: my BFF and I have a whole room to ourselves so we would love to offer the use of it for makeup times! The only thing is I have a soul-deep NEED not to miss any of the vid show. What's the timeline as far as the makeupping goes?

And third: is there room on your list for my aforementioned BFF? she's alasbabylon @ livejournal :D

The use of the room would be awesome! I am thinking that to be sure of enough time for nine faces I will start 4 hours before the vid show, so I have time to do what everyone wants, tidy up, and do myself as well; if you and BFF are ok leaving me of your room briefly if need be, shall we say I'll book you in the second hour, to be safe?

ETA: having checked the schedule I'm thinking makeup hours from 2-6? Cocktails at 6:30, so this gives us a deal of slack. I like slack.

Green and silver sparkles sounds perfect! Three tidbits which might be relevant: the silver in the dress is very pale (more platinum than pewter), the green in my hair is on the blue side, and I wear fairly huge light-brown-framed glasses. :)

You are so lovely for doing this. And the timeline sounds great. Oh man, I'm so excited for makeup funtimes now! Like I wasn't already beside myself with con-anticipation, jeez. :P

Arrrgh, so I can't believe I just realized this, but on Friday there's a panel at 3 that I had really been looking forward to. Would it screw things up royally for BFF and I to be scheduled in the 3rd hour of makeupping? You'd still be welcome to use our room from 2 o'clock on, of course! Maybe we could meet up Friday morning in case you want to get your stuff set up in our bathroom ahead of time?

Popping in for commodorified, who's hastily packing in the other room, and having worries about too-tight scheduling and would like to know a) if we can schedule people to start at 1:00 instead of 2:00 and b) if that's the case would you and your roomie like to go first at 1 and 1:30, or would you still like to wait until after 4:00?

There is nothing particular on my schedule, I will ask my roommates about use of the bathroom, I already talked about eyeliner, and 'cause it's a con and I'll be in the mood for dancing, I really just want all-out glitter eyes! Don't really mind as to details - if you have any ideas you've always wanted a willing guinea pig for, I am your girl. :) And may I say again, this is terribly, terribly kind and I appreciate it a great deal.

Still pondering, but truthfully I only ever wear red and black. Mostly red. :P

I kind of want to try a dramatic red lipstick, but i don't know how to pick those out? and smoky eyes w/mascara. and glitter if it's not to much for a look? (Or maybe just glitter).

I have no idea what I'm actually wearing to the dance - black maybe?

I will be wearing glasses, though.

(and my roommates and i might be doing a quick dinner, I'm not quite sure yet).

I alas do not think I have a room? But I might? But it also looks like you might be covered on that front. Still, we'll make it work if necessary!

I don't know what kind of look I'm going for, at ALL. I'll probably be in some kind of sequiny sparkly dress, or something full of bright colors, but either way I think a safe bet would be to do dramatic smoky eyes and/or red lips. I do know how to do eyes for day wear, but I have no idea what is appropriate for evenings, and I'd love to learn that!

hi! thanks so much for doing this, i'm beyond excited! hmm, my schedule is probably similar to hagiologic's. i'm hoping for a "drag queen going for an old hollywood look and accidentally spilled her glitter" sort of thing; i'll be wearing a red and black dress and glasses, and i'm quite fair-skinned. think that covers it.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this. I don't really know what I want because I have so little makeup experience I kind of don't know what the options are. I guess I want something subtly sexy. I don't think I could pull off anything super overt. In terms of tips/tricks etc I'd love some advice on how to get started with the whole makeup dealio.

In terms of scheduling, I'd really like to make it to the knotting panel at 3 but other than that I'm totally free.

I am excited about this! (And definite about it, now, too! ) I almost never wear makeup so just for fun I would love something over-the-top! Sexy/glittery/smudged-eyeliner-like-a-rockstar?!?

My lovely roomie wants to watch if you don't mind so we could definitely do mine in my room!
