I have spent the last three weeks working on a copyedit for [personal profile] graydon; the book is called The March North, it's been GREAT fun to work on, it'll be out soon, and I shall be linking to it here. He described it to me as Egalitarian Epic Fantasy, which is quite true but perhaps too simple; it's got some deeply twisty, subtle world-building, characters of whom I got extraordinarily fond, and A FIVE-TONNE SHEEP NAMED EUSTACE, who is a) NOT comic relief, and b) awesome like an awesome thing.

I was inspired to commit fanart:

a line-drawing of a battle-scene, with Eustace in the centre

And the very large stuffed sheep we keep around for Oscar and Vivien has a new name now:

Presuming I do not run melancholy mad either applying the 2994 changes involved in the laudably thorough copy edit nor extracting an isbn from distant beauraucracy, and similarly that the cover designer doesn't succumb, early in March.

Well, I'm sure you could have, but I'd hate to think you were tweaking things merely to produce round numbers. :)

It's Massachusetts in Base 16, does that help?

Google Books has finished chewing.

Kobo is still chewing; "Publishing" and "In Progress". Someday this will likely end.

And I really should grit my teeth about another file format (and set of tax forms) and put the thing up on Amazon, but I haven't yet.

To be fair, Olive has also had her share of time with Eustace.

Especially when commenting so late, I feel like I should have something more salient than "OMFG huge stuffed sheep!", but--OMFG HUEG STUFFED SHEEP.

It's so amazing. <3
