So apparently not even a throat so sore your doctor swabbed you for strep gets you out of having to eat a food occasionally if you don't want to feel horrible.

Date: 2015-03-06 01:00 am (UTC)I had strep throat four times as a child (spring and fall of second grade, spring and fall of third grade, home sick from school a couple of weeks each time), so I have a great deal of experience with this remedy (and I still think of peaches and cottage cheese as comfort food to this day).
Hope you feel better soon.

Date: 2015-03-06 02:31 am (UTC)(While I hope you never have to suffer it again... Do you know the trick to not gagging while being strep tested? I try to pass it on to everybody who's at some risk of strep testing, because it was such a great thing for little!me when some kind doctor told it to me back then! Here is the trick: pant like a dog while the swab's in your mouth. It will keep your gag reflex in check!)
