*nods* I think to a point that cycles us back to "trauma survivors are extremely good at hurting each other" and "people who have been harmed and invalidated a lot are good at One True Way thinking and bad at saying 'Well. That is your truth."
(Fandom has been very good for me in that respect. Possibly even more so than Anthropology, which is basically deaigned around the existence of multiple worldviews)
IOW I hear you. Longterm and overall I think it's good, but yeah, the short-term reaction was very polarized - and I spent a lot of time wincing too.
