In which I consult the green-thumbed, grubby-footed part of the lazyweb

We bought some calla-lily bulbs and - oops - left them in the trunk for two weeks.

I am QUITE sure they got frozen at least once in that time.

Have we killed them? Should we just pick up more?

In happier news, the porridge experiment turned out splendidly, and I have either planted or made preparations to plant - you have to soak morning glory and sweet pea seeds overnight first - three egg-cartons of flower seeds.

As oursin said recently, hounds ov spring sai ARF ARF.

Now I must shower and LBD-ify to go and celebrate my bride's new status.

The downside to that is that they were meant for the centrepiece of a very fancy and conspicuous barrel, and if I don't replace them and they're dead I'll have a gaping space. So I think I shall replace them and put the originals somewhere less critical.

Well, the location is conspicuous; the annuals are fancy. The oak barrel is fairly plain. :)
