Re: problem #179: For the first time in my life this year I have a Canadian keyboard. AHAHAHA.

Shoes! In the house! I still do it sometimes when I'm in a hurry, but it always feels All Wrong.

Surrey! LOL

Yep, shoes in the house applies in Scandinavia, as well.

Cultural references! I feel so left out! My faithful viewing of Flashpoint is not helping me here! *cries*

(Seriously though, what's up with Surrey?)

My keyboard gets stuck on French sometimes and there is nothing at all that I can do to make it go back except wait until it feels like it.

Is shoes in the house an American thing?

I've seen #180 before over on Tumblr and was v. confused by it being a Canadian thing. (I'm USian, for reference -- Tennessean originally, if region matters). Shoes are not a thing you wear in the house, in general, and they sure as hell aren't a thing you wear in someone else's house. I mean, I run barefoot everywhere anyway but that's not even the point, the point is not being an ass who tracks dirt in all over someone else's house.

I dunno, I mean, I have heard of this being a thing other (USian) people do, but I was brought up that it's very rude.

I especially like #179 -- I've had that happen to me a few times.

Forget the cat coming back (which I now link much more to Fred Penner than to NFB, damn you, childrens' cds)... I'm still wondering where all those log-drivers are that are supposed to be in the town this evening.
